Date of Appointment: April 2025
Current Role & Organisation: HR Director, EMEA at AVEVA
About
Professional Background
After a brief flirtation with a Sales career immediately after graduating, I have followed a fairly typical HR generalist progression, spanning HR Operations, Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering. I have worked across several industry areas, notably financial services, pharma and more recently Tech, and have been fortunate to work and travel extensively across Europe, the US, the Middle East and Africa. My family and I have been living in Malmö, Sweden, for the last 6 years following an assignment, but will be based in Cambridge, UK, from October 2025.
Connection to Neurodiversity
My connection is born out of a desire to be an ambassador and a champion, rather than a personal experience. As an HR professional, there is a ‘call to action’ upon all of us to ensure that every employee can be their best. It’s not just the right thing to do, it’s good for business.
Board/Trustee Role at NiB
Having built and led large HR teams for many years, I want to utilise my experience to support the growth and delivery of our People function, such that it’s adding tremendous value to our wider teams and that we continue to attract high caliber volunteers to further the great work of NiB.
Personal Interests:
As a father of 2, soon to be 3, time for personal interests is limited, however approaching ‘middle aged’ has seen me follow the rather predictable trend of climbing into unflattering Lycra and spending time with my beloved road bike. Aside from that, I am fortunate to travel frequently with work and do enjoy taking in the sights and sounds of new places around the world.
